This piece is 13x30ft of trash. Scraps of paper, fabric, and yarn, all glued or taped or sewn together and hung by grommets. I felt my life was going in unexpected directions, and I didn’t know it at the time, but this was created during a period of hypomania. I was brave enough to create such an ambitious piece because the euphoria and bipolar ego were in charge. Working on this giant monstrosity took over my life, which…is probably a good thing. It kept me out of trouble.

This piece was built out of scraps and arranged into 50+ smaller collages so it could be arranged to fit any space. It’s a collection of thoughts, feelings, and experiences bundled into one ever-changing package. It was created during and after a mental breakdown, and creating this piece was a huge part of my recovery.
